Create a Quote by Chat (IQ)

Create a customer, project, measurement, estimate, and proposal from the Assistant.

Goal

Use IQ to go from "new customer" to "proposal sent" without jumping between pages.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Assistant.
  2. Tell IQ what you want. Example: "I need to create an estimate for a new customer."
  3. Provide customer details:
    • Customer name
    • Email (required if you want to email the proposal)
    • Phone (optional)
  4. Provide project details:
    • Project name
    • Project type (new asphalt, overlay, sealcoat, patching)
    • Site address (street address, or a business name plus city/state)
  5. Measure the area:
    • If you know the dimensions, give them directly.
    • If you want to draw it: ask IQ to open map measurement, draw the area, click Save, then click Use for estimate.
  6. Build and save the estimate:
    • Confirm area
    • Choose thickness and add-ons (base, tack coat, sealcoat, striping, crack fill)
    • Add any custom items (mobilization, dump fees, permits)
    • Set margin percent
    • Save the estimate
  7. Send the proposal:
    • Ask IQ to send the proposal for the latest estimate
    • Confirm the customer email

What gets saved when

  • Customer and project: saved as soon as they are created.
  • Measurement: saved when you click Save in the map measurement workspace (or when you save manual shapes).
  • Estimate: saved when you save the estimate (each save creates a new version).
  • Proposal: saved and sent when you confirm sending.

Verify and edit

After IQ creates your quote, you can always review it:

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Projects.
  2. Open the project.
  3. Check the latest measurement and estimate version.
  4. Edit and re-save if needed, then resend the proposal.
